I still remember the first time our Everyday Body Butter was in research and development with our manufacturer. I just wanted something simple, nourishing, and clean something that made me feel good + the whole family. Not greasy. Not overly scented. Just…good.
Fast forward to today, and that same formula, the one I made for myself and later shared with friends, is sitting on page 18 of InStore Magazine’s Spring Edition, under the What We’re Loving: Beauty Rituals section. Seeing our Body Butter, Body Oil, and Body Wash featured together in a national print magazine? It’s surreal in the best way.
If you’re not familiar, InStore Magazine is Canada’s publication for independent retailers. It’s where shop owners across the country go to discover standout brands and products that deserve a spot on their shelves. Their What We’re Loving section isn’t something you pay to be in; it's curated by editors who look for beautifully made, thoughtfully formulated products that align with emerging trends in wellness and design.
So when InStore Magazine reached out to include Original Co. in their Beauty Rituals round-up?
I was genuinely floored.

They featured our Everyday Body Butter, Body Oil, and Body Wash all products I use daily myself. And that’s exactly why I think they stood out. They’re not just pretty jars for your shelf (though yes, the neutral packaging does look lovely in your bathroom). These are hardworking, sensitive-skin-safe staples that turn the most basic self-care moment, a shower, a quick post-shower moisturizer into something grounding.
The Body Wash is creamy and unscented, made for people who want that clean feeling without the drying, stripping effect most store-bought options deliver. The Body Butter? It’s rich, but not sticky. It actually absorbs. You can get dressed after. (Why is that so rare?) And the Body Oil is like our little secret weapon. I use it alone, layer it over the butter for extra hydration, or even mix it into my bath when I want to feel a little extra taken care of.
Each one was created out of personal need. And while I didn’t start Original Co. for the press, having these products noticed by InStore’s editors tells me we’re doing something right — that people are craving intentional skincare that feels luxurious without being complicated.
Being featured in this issue is more than just a “win” for our brand. It’s a reminder that there’s space in the wellness world for products that are gentle, effective, and made with care. And if you’re new here — welcome. I’m so glad you found us.
